Whitby to and from Pearson Airport

Whitby sits just west of Oshawa along the 401 corridor, and most trips — from the Brooklin area in the north to the Port Whitby waterfront — cover about 68 kilometres between Whitby and Toronto Pearson (YYZ) in 50 to 60 minutes.

The standard route heads west on Highway 401 from the Brock Road or Thickson Road interchange. The highway passes through Ajax and Pickering, enters Toronto near the Rouge River, and continues through Scarborough and North York toward the Highway 427 exit. From there, the 427 runs straight south to the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 departure ramps.

For pickups in northern Whitby around Brooklin or the Taunton Road area, drivers may opt for Highway 407 ETR via the 412 connector. This toll route avoids the 401 entirely and enters Pearson from the north via Highway 427 or the 409.
